I interpret resilience as the inherent ability that we have, as human beings, to deal with what life offers with courage, curiosity and compassion. By strengthening our capacity for resilience we learn to respond to stressors, transform, grow and ultimately self-actualize.
In the face of adversity, conflict and stress our natural tendency is to defend and protect ourselves. We aim for survival. By learning to experience and accept change as the natural state of life, and by aligning ourselves to its flow, we achieve much more: we can live engaged, enjoyable and meaningful lives.
